Your body metrics belong to you. Here's exactly what health data we collect, why, and the promises we make about it.
What is "health data"?
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), data about your health, such as your weight, height, body fat percentage and nutritional intake, is classed as "special category data." It needs a higher level of protection and your explicit consent to process.
What we collect
- Body metrics: height, weight, age and biological sex.
- Activity levels: your estimated daily energy expenditure (TDEE).
- Dietary logs: the food and drink you track in the app.
Why we collect it
- To calculate your estimated energy needs (BMR and TDEE).
- To adjust your nutrition targets as you progress.
- To show your history and trends on your dashboard.
Our promise to you
Your body metrics and food logs are never sold to advertisers.
Your health data stays inside the MyMacroGo ecosystem and our secure cloud infrastructure.
Your rights (the "right to be forgotten")
You can withdraw your consent at any time. If you stop using MyMacroGo, you can delete your account directly in the app settings. This permanently erases all your health data, body metrics and food logs from our servers immediately.
